    Citizens' Response R.I.P. January 4, 2005 - May 16, 2005
Well... we played our final show on the 16th. While we tried to pull together some closure with a killer show, we came up a little short. And although this was a little disappointing, it makes us thirst for more and will hopefully help us bring energy to some new projects.

In the end, we accomplished quite a bit in these short months. I still remember the first practice and I was quite apprehensive. I wasn't even sure how my voice was gonna sound because I hadn't really practiced. At one point in the practice, I wanted to bail out on everyone but seeing how everyone else was there and willing to commit to the project, I couldn't quit. So in 4 and half months, we only managed to get 3 shows in but we wrote 7 original songs and a bit of fun despite the misplayed notes, forgotten lyrics, fucked up solos, off tempo playing, late entrances, forgotten cues, and all other mayhem.

We'd like to thank the following people: Everyone who attended a show, everyone who listened to our mp3s, Nik Maier, Ben Crew, Max Clark, Andi, Rich Gill, James Johnson, Glass Bottle Riot, Stateline Motel, Jack McCormack, everyone at the D.A. House, the German House, Ryan from the Alamo, Andy from the Slaughterhouse, Paddy from the Fuck Yeahs, the Unicorn Basement, and our families.

Three mp3s have been uploaded from our last show: click here

And for current projects: Stephen has started playing bass in a band with his brother.

    Minneapolis 5/7 show post-poned
Due to a problem with the cops, our show in Minneapolis for May 7th is post-poned. Ryan is gonna try to reschedule it but due to time constraints and everyone being hella busy we might not be able to play it.

However, this will make our May 16th show much more meaningful. This will be our last show in Northfield and most likely our last show ever unless we get another offer to play in the cities. Anyway, we are trying to get some really good bands to come in from out of town to play this show and we will have at least 3 new songs to play for you all. -- Brian

    Looking to play more shows
Here's some updates. The Pause rejected us for Lutefest. Anyway, don't boycott the show because Max/Deanna/Jon L's project is gonna perform. It'll be awesome. They just need to practice first.

The first Friday after spring break, DILLINGER FOUR is gonna play in the Pause. That's April 1st. Don't be an April Fool, be at the show. Citizens' Response is interested in playing an after party show. If you have a house or some other venue that can host this, contact me (Brian).

We are looking to set up shows possibly in Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, Carleton and possibly at Hogan Bros. No dates are even considered tentative. We are just scouting out our possibilities. If you can hook us, we'd appreciate it.

Demo is sort of done/Show Flyer
We got the demo done but it still could use some work. So I will probably rework some vocal tracks at a later date. For now, you can check out 2 songs at http://www.hxcmp3.com/bands/22986/

Also, the show is friday. Here is the flyer I made today.

    State of the band address
We are done with the drum tracks for the demo and we are currently working on recording the bass and guitars. We might finish this on Friday and then record the vocals over the weekend.

Our first show is Friday MARCH 11th @ the Huggenvik House.

Also, we will be practicing in the Pause starting tomorrow.

    Recording
We started recording yesterday. Most of the time was spent setting up the mics. We recorded the drum tracks for "Depression". We worked on recording another song but we made some mistakes and then Jon broke a string. We hope to record the rest of the drum tracks on Tuesday. Thanks to Max Clark for helping us out. We hope to play a show with his band in the future.

In other news, Stephen will be back next week. We will be planning our first show when he's finally back. It might be either March 11th or March 12th. There isn't an official date but we'll let you know when we have it confirmed. In the meantime, try to keep your schedule clear both of those evenings. -Brian
